This deep cleansing gel from Vichy Normaderm Phytosolution for oily to acne-prone skin reminds me of the effectiveness of a cleansing gel from La Roche-Posay.
The packaging says that the cleansing base is of plant origin, the product is gentle on the skin, contains no alcohol, parabens or soap. That this cleaning gel replaces liquid soap.
It is worth it?
It really is very gentle on the skin, the product is more liquid, very easy to spread. It foams, but doesn’t make bubbles, the foam stays very close to the skin, which is good, as I feel like it doesn’t make too much of a mess.
It has a mint candy smell, very refreshing and reminds me of something from childhood.
What I’m a little angry about with these French brands is that the cleansing gels don’t completely remove the oil from your face, you still feel like you have a little oil on your face, it doesn’t have that matte effect, I understand that maybe the objective is not to have a rebound effect, but it bothers me. I like the cleaning effect of Etude House Baking Powder best.
I feel like it’s a product more formulated for those with mature skin or those who live in a colder climate, I don’t feel like it’s the best formulation for those who live in a tropical climate.
For this product I give it a score of 08/10. It gains a few points for being smooth, for its texture and mint scent, but loses a few points for not removing all excess oil from the face.
